About

I'm Dave Heritage, a software engineer who likes turning fuzzy ideas into dependable products.

I started my career in FinTech, where correctness, security, and compliance matter every day. That experience taught me to build systems you can trust—clear data models, readable code, and features that ship without drama.

In industry, I've moved from full-stack work into a focus on backends and, more recently, LLM agents. I design agent systems that do real work: routing tasks, calling tools and APIs, working with databases, and handing off clean results to users and services.

Right now I'm working on Memori, an open-source memory fabric for enterprise AI. The memory fabric is an SQL-native memory layer that plugs into the stack you already run. It's LLM, datastore, and framework agnostic, designed to integrate cleanly with existing architecture.

What I enjoy building

  • Data-heavy backends and internal tools
  • LLM agents that use tools, search, and real data to deliver outcomes
  • Cloud infrastructure on AWS, containerized services, CI/CD, and observability
  • Safer, clearer deployment workflows

Education & Certifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science, minor in Mathematics - University of Missouri, 2018
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

When I'm not coding, I'm usually outside exploring nature or getting in a little time on the tennis court.

If you're working on something interesting, especially around data, infrastructure, or AI-powered products, let's build it.
